David T. Hawkins is the Senior Pastor of Living The Word Church and an author, church strategy consultant, and speaker who helps people understand and fulfill their God-given purpose.

He began pastoring while still in college. And after obtaining his business degree from Mizzou, he spent time working for A.G. Edwards, UPS, and Merck.

He obtained his Master of Arts in Exegetical Theology and Apologetics from Covenant Theological Seminary and transitioned to full-time ministry in 2008. Through the years, David’s seen his congregation, Living The Word Church, increase from a handful of people to 800 and growing

David speaks across the US and is a regular communicator at The Crossing Church and serves on the board of Living Water International. As of 2022, he obtained his Master of Organizational Leadership through Greenville University.

He lives in the St. Louis area with his wife, Valencia, and son, Josiah. An avid cyclist, David podiumed three major St. Louis area races, and even took first place in one of them! When he’s not on his bike or playing basketball, you’ll find him reading a book or racing remote-controlled cars.
